Glen Eira Unit send volunteers to assist in NSW storm operation
Glen Eira Unit volunteers have been deployed interstate to assist NSW colleagues with the recent storm event that has struck the state.
The Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) has deployed a significant number of volunteers to NSW in response to the extreme weather event that has struck the state. Glen Eira Unit volunteer have played an important part in the deployment, with the unit sending four separate contingents of volunteers to various parts of NSW as part of the VICSES deployment.
Emergency management leaders in NSW have applauded the work done by VICSES during the deployment. The storm event has been described as the most severe event on record in NSW, with the emergency response operation involving hundreds of paid staff and volunteers from a number of states and territories.
